VETERAN'S BREAKFAST

On Wednesday December 6, 2017 a VETERAN'S BREAKFAST was held at the Richard Childress Racing (RCR) Musuem in Welcome, NC.

Several hundred veterans from all over the Triad attended along with many supporting local organizations. There was music from "Letters from Home" (Erin Diaz and Nelson Diaz).  Erin sang several songs to the different military branches ad gave many of the vets a "hello kiss" to take home.

The Marching Band from Davidson HS was there and  James Scott, the author of " The  War Below " gave a presentation of what life was like in a WWII submarine in .

The "Rolling Thunder" Organization gave a "Missing Man at the Table" presentation that gave many of us a tear or two in rememberance of  POW-MIAs.

Richard Childress was also there and gave us his opinion of the NFL and why he is NOT giving them ANY recognition whatsoever! That comment received a standing ovation!

Several hours went by quickly and after the program we were all invited to visit the racing museum.

*Many thanks to Richard Childress, RCR, and the organizations that provided the food and entertainment.
